There have been dramatic pictures of Frida Karlsson after a couple of races in the Olympics when she was completely exhausted and felt bad.
For health reasons, she is stopped from riding the three miles on Sunday, the final distance for the ladies in the championship.
For her mother, it has been tough to see Sweden from home and she has double feelings after the decision.
- It has been awful and when it is on the other side of the world.
But I have witnessed when Frida has crossed the border before and witnessed when she perked up.
She has always come back and she will do the same now, she says.
"I'm coming home"
The weather conditions in Beijing are not the most optimal for the riders.
This weekend, a cold of around 25 degrees below zero is expected.
The better it is in Sollefteå.
- I told Frida that we are going to take a turn this afternoon, it is five degrees cold, radiant sun and perfect conditions.
"I'm coming home," she said then, Mia Karlsson says with a smile.
