A student was on an internship, and was working shoveling snow for a company in Bjurholm, when the accident occurred.
An elderly woman was hit and later died.
The principal of the student's school has now reported the incident to the Swedish Work Environment Authority.
A police investigation is underway to clarify what happened on the day in question.
