“Planning and preparations are underway for the landing of a naval tactical assault force, which is planned to be used to capture a bridgehead on the Azov coast of the DPR and carry out an offensive in the rear of our troops,” the statement reads.
The actions of the shock group are envisaged in the direction of Sartana - Kominternovo.
It includes a reconnaissance company, a fire support company and a combined mortar battery.
Several platoons of the 107th Territorial Defense Battalion are also provided - it will be transferred to Mariupol in the near future by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“For the landing, boats transferred to Ukraine by the United States as part of military assistance will be used,” the People’s Militia of the DPR added.
Earlier, the servicemen of the republic returned fire on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to suppress enemy firepower.
