The DPR called on the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to return to a truce

“We call on the leadership of the armed formations of Ukraine to immediately return to a stable regime of silence,” RIA Novosti quotes Yakubov.

In addition, the DPR called on international observation missions to "strengthen their monitoring and promptness of informing the public about the situation on the line of contact." 

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Kiev would not enter into direct negotiations with the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. 

Deputy head of the presidential administration of Russia Dmitry Kozak said that representatives of Kiev at a meeting of advisers to the Normandy Four declared their readiness to conduct a dialogue with the DPR and LPR only through the OSCE.

In addition, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba also said at a briefing that Kiev would not enter into direct dialogue with the self-proclaimed Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics.
