The Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, revealed that Ukraine summoned the Israeli ambassador to reprimand him, after Israel asked Russia to provide safe corridors for its citizens in Ukraine if it invaded it.

According to the newspaper, "Haaretz", the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry summoned the Israeli ambassador, Michael Brodsky, on Thursday, and asked him to provide clarification regarding the reports that spoke of Tel Aviv's request from Moscow to help evacuate the Israelis from Ukraine in the event that Russia invaded Ukraine.

The newspaper stated that the Israeli ambassador responded that this request came with the intention of urging Russia to calm down, and also to express Israel's concern for its diplomats and citizens, according to the newspaper.

And the American “Axios” website had previously reported, quoting Israeli sources, that the Director-General of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Alon Oshbis, telephoned Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, and asked him for help in evacuating about 10,000 Israelis from Ukraine, after 3,000 had already been evacuated. during the past days.

On the other hand, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported two days ago that Israel had rejected a request from Ukraine to provide it with the "Iron Dome" anti-missile system, "for fear of the impact on its relations with Russia."

According to the newspaper, Kiev's request for the system - which Israel manufactures in cooperation with the United States - came last year, and it was recently renewed.
