After three years of lawsuits,
Samuel Eto'o
(40) has finally been sentenced to recognize Erika do Rosario, a 21-year-old girl, as his daughter.
The process has been long since the former Cameroonian footballer has systematically refused to collaborate in his paternity case and according to
Fernando Osuna
, Erika's lawyer and her mother,
Adinelsa do Rosario
(42), has "maliciously delayed the case" for his refusal to submit to the DNA test.
Finally, the justice has proved Erika right and has forced Eto'o to recognize her as her daughter and to
pay an alimony of 1,400 euros per month.
The judge has already declared him in
absentia
for not responding to court notifications and for more than a year
he has had to pay Erika 1,400 euros a month as a precautionary measure as alimony.

Erika
resorted in 2019 to justice
to be recognized as the legitimate daughter of Eto'o.
After several requests by the young woman not answered by him, in February 2020 the trial took place to see her case.
Given the delay in sentencing, Erika made an appeal, "distressed", last September for the sentence to be handed down since her and her mother's economic situation is very precarious.
An
oral hearing
was held with witnesses and other evidence to which the former footballer did not attend, despite being summoned.
Osuna argued a series of
"indications or suspicions, in addition to evidence" about paternity,
among which are the physical resemblance, the different witnesses and documents, the alimony,
WhatsApp photos and messages.
Finally the sentence has arrived this Friday and has finally ratified the paternity of the former soccer player and
Erika's right to be registered and recognized
as such.
