On February 15, local time, a fishing boat from Spain sank in the waters off Newfoundland Island. Seven people were killed and 14 others were missing. At present, three crew members have been rescued.

Due to the extremely low water temperature in the area where the incident occurred, the rescued crew members were in a state of hypothermic shock.

The cause of the accident has not yet been determined.

At present, the rescue operation is underway. A spokesman for the Joint Rescue Coordination Center said that the visibility in the accident area was low and the sea surface was extremely windy, making search and rescue work more difficult.
