Until a few moments ago, the general coordinator of the Mayor's Office in the Madrid City Council and the mayor's right-hand man, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, has resigned from his position, according to sources from the Palacio de Cibeles.

This resignation comes after all eyes were on him for the alleged spying on Isabel Díaz Ayuso and after having a conversation with Almeida this afternoon.

In fact, Almeida had already targeted his figure this morning, claiming that if "some irregular activity" was shown in this case, it would be "immediately terminated."
