Kuwaiti National Assembly Representative Shuaib Al-Muwaizri was irritated by the inflammatory statements and rumors circulating against him on social media, against the backdrop of his demand to withdraw confidence from his country's Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Al-Muwaizri confirmed, according to Kuwaiti media, that everything he does is announced to everyone and he has nothing to fear, saying: "We worked with the face, we have no work with the back, we have no work under the table, we have nothing to fear."
The deputy directed his speech to those who spread rumors about him on the communication sites, threatening them: "I can't speak to anyone who attacks me easily, but I am moral, and you do not allow me, and this is political insult."
The Kuwaiti National Assembly had earlier renewed confidence in the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nasser.
In this context, Representative Al-Muwaizri had raised controversy in the past few days due to his request to hold a secret session, yesterday, Wednesday, for a few minutes, to show film materials, and during the secret session yesterday, he was unable to show the clips he referred to previously.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nasser, had earlier sent a book to the National Assembly (Parliament), in which he demanded an investigation with a video clip attributed to a diplomat, saying in his book directed to National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim: “What was presented (by Representative Shuaib Al-Muwaizri, in a public session in the parliament hall last Tuesday), in the video clip constitutes a legal violation that requires accountability.
The minister demanded that he be provided with the results of the investigation to take the necessary measures, expressing his surprise at the motives for showing the video clip during the session.
He added: "This incident was not primarily a subject of inquiry, inquiry or question, which makes the dignity of individuals and officials a subject of illegal exposure in the official state platforms... Absolute ignorance of the video in terms of its people, location and date constitutes an insult to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all its affiliates without any basis in reality. or the law.”
For its part, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied, in an official statement, the video clip, and considered that displaying the clip without verifying it is "a skepticism of all the ministry's employees," expressing its denunciation of the publication of this clip without the interrogated deputy taking the initiative to provide it with the data and identity of the intended Kuwaiti diplomat.
