“A heterogeneous grouping of the naval forces of the Caspian Flotilla left the base point of Makhachkala for the designated area of the Caspian Sea to participate in a planned command and staff exercise,” the press service said.
The crews of the ships of the flotilla will work out joint actions in sailing in a single marching order, repulsing the means of air attack of a mock enemy and conducting mock naval combat.
Earlier, FAN, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense, reported that the crews of the ships of the Northern Fleet worked out the search for and elimination of a mock enemy submarine during exercises in the Barents Sea.
The crew of the large anti-submarine ship "Severomorsk" established control over navigation in the water area and searched for submarines of a mock enemy.
