It was 8:15 p.m. Wednesday evening in Toulouse when a Tisséo bus driver pressed his alarm button in the Jolimont district.

The police found him injured in the face and he named his attackers, two men, immediately arrested.

The two suspects explained that the bus ripped off their rear-view mirror while negotiating a sharp turn and did not stop.

They would therefore have followed him to the next stop to require the driver to sign a report.

He refused and things got out of hand.

He also denies any clash.

The two occupants of the car, aged 47 and 51, were still in custody on Thursday.

The police were trying to clarify the circumstances of the dispute, in particular by recovering images from the bus's on-board camera.
