A student dies after being run over from a school bus in Ajman
A 12-year-old Gulf student died, after she was run over by an Asian school bus driver in the Hamidiya area of Ajman.
The Director of Traffic and Patrols Department in Ajman Police, Lt. Col. Saif Abdullah Al Falasi, stated that the student from Umm Ammar School (second cycle), and that she suffered a serious head injury, as a result of the accident, and she died as a result of her injury.
Al-Falasi revealed that the bus was transporting students to their homes without the presence of a supervisor to maintain their safety.
He said that the student boarded the school bus after school hours ended, and after it stopped next to her house and got off, the bus driver moved without attention, which led to her running over and dying.
Al Falasi confirmed the arrest of the bus driver, to take the necessary legal measures.
He expressed his deep regret for the student's death, offering Ajman Police's condolences to her family and relatives.
He also appealed to bus drivers to abide by traffic laws and regulations, pay attention, and not be distracted by anything other than the road to maintain the safety of students, and to ensure that they reach their homes safely.
