“Russia does not threaten NATO countries, it is not going to attack them, as well as other countries,” she said.

Zakharova stressed that Russia "pursues a peace-loving policy and stands for the preservation of peace."

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Ian Stoltenberg promised to "continue to denounce Russia's aggressive plans."

As Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted, he stopped considering Jens Stoltenberg's statements, as the head of the alliance "lost touch with reality."

The Russian Foreign Ministry also turned to the Western media with a request to "announce the schedule of invasions" in order to plan a vacation.

On the eve of the British publications The Sun and The Mirror, citing US intelligence data, they wrote that the “invasion of Ukraine” was allegedly scheduled for February 16 at 03:00 local time.

The Sun later edited the material, noting that "the night passed without incident."
