The body recovered in the Marne is that of a woman killed by her husband

The lifeless body recovered between Meaux and Nanteuil-lès-Meaux (Seine-et-Marne) on February 4 was autopsied and identified,

revealed on Tuesday.

It is that of a woman who was allegedly killed by her husband on December 6, indicates the prosecutor of the Republic of Meaux to our colleagues.

Thrown into the water

Two months ago, a man surrendered to the police, claiming to have suffocated his wife before throwing her into the water.

He would then have continued his activities normally, before denouncing himself to the authorities.

Since then, an investigation has been opened and an investigating judge has been seized.

The man was remanded in custody.

The body of the victim had been discovered by firefighters divers, during an exercise in the Marne.

He was in the middle of the vegetation.
