Once declared a candidate, Emmanuel Macron should not multiply the meetings.

Three meetings are planned at this stage by the Head of State, notably in Paris and Marseille.

A fourth could be added.

On the other hand, his entourage confides that the president-candidate intends to increase his travels to get in touch with the French.

Between the de-escalation in Russia and the Covid-19 epidemic which is receding in France, the horizon is clearing for Emmanuel Macron.

His presidential candidacy, which is no longer in doubt, is becoming clearer.

According to several sources, it should come out of the woods next week, the week of February 21, before or during the Agricultural Show that the Head of State is to inaugurate on Saturday February 26.

When, where and how will Emmanuel Macron declare himself?

Those close to the president persist in maintaining the mystery.

On the other hand, we know more about how he planned to campaign… With important meetings in particular.

Three to four big meetings

Three to four big meetings, that's what draws for this flash campaign.

"One in Paris, one in Marseille. Another in the west and possibly a fourth in the east," says a macronie strategist.

At this stage, in the capital, two halls are favored by the president's entourage: Paris-Bercy Accor Arena and the Porte de Versailles exhibition center.

Right there where the candidate En Marche had organized his first big meeting in December 2016.

“Few meetings, but a lot of trips to meet the French”, sums up an adviser.

Departing ministers

Unlike his previous campaign, Emmanuel Macron does not want a catalog of measures.

“He will put forward three to four proposals”, loose a heavyweight from Macronie.

And to help him in this mission, the head of state is preparing to tap into his pool of ministers.

At least three of them could resign in the coming days in order to fully invest in the campaign.

The names of Julien Denormandie, Minister of Agriculture, Sébastien Lecornu, Minister of Overseas Territories and Gabriel Attal, government spokesman are regularly cited.
