“We are not going to deploy offensive systems in Ukraine,” Stoltenberg is quoted by TASS.

He stressed that "NATO is a defensive alliance."

Earlier, Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko said that the North Atlantic Alliance began the military development of the territory of Ukraine by pumping Kiev with weapons.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal earlier clarified that to date, partner states have provided military assistance to Kiev in the amount of about $1.5 billion.

The US Embassy in Ukraine has said that the United States intends to supply Kiev with about 90 more tons of ammunition and Javelin anti-tank systems.
