“On February 17, talks will be held in Moscow between the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergei Lavrov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, Luigi Di Maio,” Zakharova said.

She specified that "the parties will exchange views on a wide range of topical issues on the international agenda."

As noted, the main attention is supposed to be given to the situation in the Euro-Atlantic in the context of Russia's initiatives on security guarantees.

In addition, the ministers will discuss the situation around Ukraine, Russia's relations with the EU and NATO, as well as bilateral cooperation between the countries.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, following talks with Brazilian Foreign Minister Carlos Alberto Franco França, said that the West presented the security initiatives previously put forward by Russia as their own.

Lavrov emphasized that the draft of Russia's response to the US and NATO responses on security assurances was formulated in ten pages.
