A resident of Meyrieu-les-Étangs (Isère) died on Tuesday following a violent road trip in the town of Pommier-de-Beaurepaire, reports

The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. The 19-year-old allegedly lost control of his vehicle after trying to overtake a car shortly before an intersection.

Found in cardiorespiratory arrest

His vehicle first rolled over, then cut an electric pole and ended up crashing into a tree.

The carcass then wrapped around the tree.

Alerted, nine firefighters and a team from the Vienna Smur arrived quickly on the scene.

When they arrived, the victim was in cardiorespiratory arrest.

Paramedics attempted to resuscitate the young driver.

In vain.

He was declared dead at the scene.

According to the first elements collected by the gendarmes, witnesses indicated that the car was traveling at high speed on a stretch of road where overtaking is not easy.
