“The most precious thing in Europe is peace.

The way out of this remaining explosive situation can only be through dialogue and building trust," RIA Novosti quotes Burbock.

According to her, "the OSCE observation mission in Ukraine plays an important role in this, it is the eyes and ears of the international community."

The German Foreign Minister recalled that some countries have withdrawn their personnel from the mission in recent days for security reasons.

“We will not only keep the German staff in place, we are also trying to provide additional staff,” Burbock said.

She added that Germany is negotiating with partners "so that the mission can carry out its important tasks in this situation."

Earlier it was reported that the observers of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) will continue to fulfill the mandate of the mission in ten cities of Ukraine.

Reuters, citing eyewitnesses, reported that American representatives of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Donbass began to leave Donetsk in cars.

The representative office of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire stated that even if representatives of other countries leave the Donetsk SMM office, the work of the mission will not stop.

OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid assured that the mission will continue to fulfill its mandate in Ukraine without interruption.
