Sven Bjärlestam is from the Kristianstad area but has lived in southern Ukraine for almost 25 years.
- I thought a lot for and against and even today I do not know if it was the right decision to go.
But I did.
Maybe it was mostly because my own children kept telling me to go.
They were worried, says Bjärlestam and continues:
- I who have been down there may see it in a slightly different way.

Military vehicles on the road
On his way through Ukraine, Sven saw some military vehicles.
- I have driven that stretch many times and I have never seen it before, says Bjärlestam.
You have to hope that it calms down and then I drive back.
