Investigators are still trying to find out if the explosion is of accidental or criminal origin, and the damage is very heavy.

Some residents have lost everything and it is for them that the mayor has launched this kitty.

The town hall's idea is to coordinate aid and collect donations, to enable them to find what went up in smoke or what was blown up by the explosion.

As the municipality received many requests from all over the country, in particular from people who wanted to donate money, it therefore launched this kitty online.

The latter has already collected nearly 3,000 euros in a few hours.

Since Monday, the outpouring of solidarity has been impressive.

All day, people paraded to deposit bags: cubic meters of clothes were thus collected in the rural home.

People were even offering furniture, entire living rooms.

A rare surge of solidarity

Valuable help for Astrid, whose home was devastated.

"I left my house in my pajamas and I picked up some things thanks to the donations that were received. When we were evacuated, we met people who offered to come and sleep, eat and sleep. have breakfast, they offered to give us clothes, business", she says at the microphone of Europe 1. "There was a surge of solidarity that we rarely see these days. There, there was no Covid: everyone hugged each other. We realize that human warmth is very important, "says the resident.

The town hall specifies that donations, whether by check or online, may be subject to tax deduction.

She indicates that in the coming days, a Cerfa document will be available on her website to allow all donations to be authenticated.
