It was on Tuesday that the municipal board in Eskilstuna decided to buy part of the property Väpnaren 6 from Region Sörmland.
The property includes Vårdecentralen City, but it is only the parts of the property without a roof, where there is currently a parking space, that the decision refers to.
The land is expected to cost SEK 20 million.
New student housing
The municipality wants to try around 100 student housing in the detailed plan, but before it has been produced, it is still unclear exactly how many there will be when everything is ready.
The detailed plan is expected to be produced in one and a half to two years.
