85.35 points was the judges' reward after Tjäder's journey down the Olympic hill Secret Garden.

Included in the ride were both the tall house trailer and the switch triple on the second jump.

His first run was also his only success - but it took him all the way to a medal.

- This is what has been the plan now for eight years when the Olympic investment was made.

And to be able to land your best ride ever in a slopestyle final in the Olympics is a sick feeling.

It is really indescribable, he says.

Changed this morning

Most remarkable of all: Capricorns had never done a similar ride before.

- I had not even tested the house trailer until this morning.

I had 45 minutes to change rails.

But we realized already after the qualifier that it was what it took to reach the podium and we are here to land on it, he says to TT.

- It was nothing more than going for it.

TT: Already after the first ride, did you have the feeling that it could be enough for a medal?

- Yes, I saw that the score, 85, was pretty good.

It was hard to say, but I was really happy when I saw the result, says Tjäder.

After the second run, he was knocked down to the bronze place by the American Nicholas Goepper, who got 86.48.

And after a failed third run, there was a long wait in the finish area to see if the bronze money would be his.

- It was a bit nervous, but then I knew I had done my best ride ever and I can hardly expect more, he says.

Celebrated with Americans

At home, the family sat on needles and watched the final.

- I know that my mother does not like to check live, she usually checks the replay.

Later in the day, he will receive the bronze at the medal ceremony in Zhangjiakou.

Then he has already packed for the journey home early tomorrow morning.

There will not be that much celebration.

- It will probably be mostly to sit down, unwind and pack your bags.

There is stuff a bit everywhere in the apartment.

We probably do not have time to party, we have to take it when we get home instead.

- I do not really think I have understood what has happened yet, says Tjäder.
