The court of Beauvais (Oise) sentenced the anti-species association Végan Impact to withdraw from its digital media the photos and videos taken in a farm in Flavacourt.

These had been published in September 2021 and featured "suffering chickens", according to the association.

Justice found that Végan Impact had infringed property rights, reports

.

She will also have to pay 3,000 euros to the farm, which had filed a complaint as soon as the images were broadcast.

Vegan Impact intends to appeal

Végan Impact assured that it would apply the court's decision, but that it would appeal.

"At a time when parliament is legislating on the protection of whistleblowers, these signals are also worrying," said the association, which speaks of a "gag procedure".

The owner of the breeding did not wish to comment on the court decision and hopes to be able to turn the page.

He had, at the time, assured that it was a “staging”.
