"Sider Mansaf" in the car of a Jordanian representative raises a wide wave of controversy

A photo and video clip that was widely circulated in Jordan of a waiter placing a dish of mansaf in the car of a representative of the Jordanian Parliament during an official luncheon has sparked a great controversy in the country, and the matter reached the parliament.

MP Fawaz Al-Zoubi expressed his anger over the video filming of a dish of "mansaf" (the most popular meal in the country) being placed inside his car.

He explained that he bought Mansaf and put it in his car to present it to a friend in Amman, stressing that he does not need to take "Mansaf Sidr" from meeting officials in Irbid.

And he remarkably attacked one of the journalists who accused him of publishing the video to offend him.

The controversy returned to social networking sites after Al-Zoubi talked about buying Mansaf for his friend in the capital, Amman, but tweets were upset about the reason for buying a "Mansaf" food dish from the city of Irbid and transferring it to the capital, which has a large number of restaurants.

The Jordanian Ministry of Culture, which organized the event, did not comment on the incident.
