The batch of materials totaled more than 1,400 tons, including mobile prefab houses, tractors, generators, pumps, water purifiers, emergency food, and epidemic prevention materials.

This is the fourth batch of relief materials delivered from China to Tonga after the natural disaster of volcanic and tsunami in Tonga.

  Wang Wenbin pointed out that, in addition, 119 pieces of heavy machinery and equipment assisted by China to Tonga have also arrived on the 14th.

When the ship arrived today, Tongan Prime Minister Sovaleni, Foreign Minister Utoikamanu and other dignitaries went to the port to greet them, expressing sincere thanks to the Chinese side and praising the Tongan-China friendship.

  He said that China-Tonga disaster relief cooperation vividly interprets the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind and deepens the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Tonga.

China will continue to provide assistance within its capacity for Tonga's post-disaster reconstruction according to Tonga's needs.
