The police tracked down the crimes when films were found in the now 34-year-old man's mobile.

The clips showed how the man exposed women who were apparently asleep or were unconscious to various sexual assaults.

Several of the acts took place in the man's home at Nytorget in Södermalm in Stockholm.

During a house search there, the police found, among other things, some nail scissors, which the man was suspected of having used in some of the cases to cut the women's clothes before the abuse.

Last summer, he was charged with 24 rapes, one of which was aggravated, as well as aggravated assault, sexual assault and child pornography, against a total of 24 women.

Several of the plaintiffs were not aware that they had been exposed until they were contacted by the police investigator.

That the sentence handed down by Södertörn District Court was much lower than what the prosecutor wanted to see is due to the fact that the court acquitted the man of several of the rapes the man was accused of, and partly when the court judged some of the crimes differently.

The prosecutor has appealed 16 of the charges in the verdict.

The 34-year-old has partially denied the crime.

He admits a large number, while questioning the classification of certain crimes and denying others of the charges.
