A new working method "Faster prosecution" means that the police investigation is shortened from several months to between three and six weeks.

When the patrol stops a suspect, he contacts the on-call investigation leader who decides whether "Faster prosecution" is relevant and provides support and feedback by telephone.

The suspect is notified on the spot and given a preliminary time for trial. The case goes directly to the prosecutor and the police patrol can continue their work in the field.

The police started working with that new method on 17/1.
