“The employees of the Ministry of State Security in the trash bin ... discovered and neutralized an improvised explosive device, consisting of a mobile phone, an electric detonator, two TNT blocks with a total weight of 400 g and striking elements.
As striking elements, pieces of metal reinforcement from 5 to 20 cm long were used, ”the agency said in a statement.
The ministry suggested that the attackers planned to blow up during a rally dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of combatants who performed their duty outside the Fatherland.
“The method of planting and the composition of the IEDs indicate the possible involvement of sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Ministry of Defense and the Ukrainian special services,” the MGB added.
