A cough."

The group called on the Egyptian authorities to quickly transfer him for treatment in a specialized hospital outside the prison, and said that Badi', a 79-year-old elderly sheikh, "cannot tolerate these diseases, just as he cannot tolerate this unjust solitary confinement for eight years, during which he was deprived of visits to his family."

The group also called on human rights bodies to take action to save the life of the General Guide, and to form a human rights committee to visit him in his prison to check on his health.
