Eric Zemmour spoke by phone with Trump, according to Peltier

Éric Zemmour (Reconquest!), spoke by telephone for 40 minutes with former US President Donald Trump who advised him to "hold on", assured Tuesday the spokesperson for the far-right presidential candidate, Guillaume Peltier.

A "warm" interview

They exchanged "yesterday at 6:00 p.m. during a forty-minute interview where Donald Trump was able to tell Eric Zemmour: don't give in, hold on, stay brave, it's tenacity and endurance which end at the end of a campaign by paying", told France 2 the former LR.

"When the Donald Trump cabinet responded favorably to our various requests, we took this call with great pleasure," he explained.

"There will be exchanges with a certain number of personalities in the coming weeks (...), everyone has understood that the duel which is being prepared in France is between Emmanuel Macron and Éric Zemmour", added added Mr. Peltier.

In a press release, the candidate's team speaks of "a long and warm telephone interview" where "they notably mentioned the migratory, security and economic subjects of their two countries".

"The meaning of their commitment is the same: Donald Trump wants the United States to remain the United States. Éric Zemmour wants France to remain France", concludes this press release.

Construction of a border wall

Éric Zemmour recently called for the construction of a "wall" at "all the external borders" of the European Union to fight against immigration, recalling Donald Trump's policy with Mexico.

He was also inspired by a poster of the former American president for his way of posing on the cover of his latest book.

Her far-right rival Marine Le Pen made a surprise visit to Trump Tower, where Donald Trump's New York headquarters was located, in January 2017, but she had not met either the future US president or any member of his team.

Éric Zemmour had experienced in his pre-campaign hectic international trips to London and Geneva, after having beaten his competitor in the fall with Viktor Orban in Budapest.
