Nathalie Arthaud can breathe, while Eric Zemmour will perhaps still sweat.

The candidate of Lutte Ouvrière (LO) obtained the 500 sponsorships necessary to run for president.

With 509 signatures, she thus becomes the third woman to have the precious signatures to be a formal candidate on April 10, after the LR candidate Valérie Pécresse, who prances in the lead with 1,824 initials and the socialist Anne Hidalgo (1,007).

The fourth qualified is President Emmanuel Macron, who has not yet formalized his candidacy, with 1,260 sponsorships.

For his part, Éric Zemmour, announced on Tuesday that he had obtained 500 sponsorship promises.

But who says promise does not automatically say sponsorship.

Marine Le Pen's rival also specified that it took “at least 600 promises to have 500 sponsorships”.

According to the latest counts, it currently has only 250 signatures.

Where are the other candidates?

But the far-right candidate is not the only one still lacking signatures.

The communist Fabien Roussel (492), the iconoclast Jean Lassalle (471) and the ecologist Yannick Jadot (450) are not far from obtaining, according to the list published Tuesday by the Constitutional Council.

Further on, come the sovereignist Nicolas Dupont-Aignan (360), ahead of the Insoumis Jean-Luc Mélenchon (332) neck and neck with Marine Le Pen (331).

François Asselineau (210) are ahead of NPA Philippe Poutou (188), trade unionist Annasse Kazib (116), former Keeper of the Seals Christiane Taubira (73) and animalist Hélène Jouy (70).
