When he sees the word “Kjökkenmödding” appear on his computer screen, Mickaël Schauli bugs.

We are at the beginning of the year 2021, and the 19-year-old young man is then in the middle of "BombParty", "a game in which you have to find words from a given syllable".
Intrigued, he launches a search on the Internet and discovers that it is a very French word: “It is the word used to describe a pile of shells or shells!

On the strength of this discovery, the student living in Wolschheim (Bas-Rhin), about thirty kilometers west of Strasbourg, began to make a list of all the oddities of the French language: "I wrote about ten pages after a day…” Then, along the way, “enough to write a book”.
In self-publishing
A year later, Mickaël Schauli is the proud author of “Kjokk”, a 210-page book (20 euros) containing words such as “niquedouille” or “phlox”.
"When I had the idea of making a book out of it, I thought at first that it was going to be a test, but in fact, it's not that difficult," confides this student who aspires to become a school teacher.
The project was completed in September 2021, led from start to finish by the young man.
Literally, again: “I self-published the book, from finding a printing company to logistics and distribution.
“Of the 900 books already printed, Mickaël Schauli still has around fifty in stock at home: “Since last October, I have been working with Amazon, which prints and distributes the book on the platform.
But there are still a lot of people contacting me because they don't want to go through the site.

With “this very big bet”, the Alsatian first thought that the distribution of his book was going to be limited “to relatives, friends and family”.
Six months later, he managed to attract the graces of the Ministry of Culture: “I first received an invitation for a videoconference.
At first, I wondered what I had done wrong (laughs).
On the contrary, they asked me lots of questions and congratulated me!

Here it is now in close partnership with the General Delegation for the French language and the languages of France.
Mickaël Schauli still can't believe it: “In January, I even had the right to a meeting at the ministry.
It was… wow!
It's a culmination, but it was not at all the initial objective, I didn't think it was going to take on this magnitude!

As a real jack-of-all-trades, and between two promos for his book, the Wolschheimois went on the air in the TF1 game "Les 12 coups de midi", during an episode broadcast in mid-January: " The world of television fascinates me, and as I am very curious and passionate about culture, I signed up for the casting… And I was taken!

“It's true that I'm tired, but I can only be proud.
All the paths that this book opens up, it's incredible!
“While waiting to set sail, Mickaël Schauli, who was able to carry out his project thanks to crowdfunding “without putting a single euro out of [his] pocket”, continues to tour the schools in his sector: “I am committed to donate all profits to carry out charitable actions in local schools.
I contact parents' associations and give them money according to their needs.
