Yesterday, the Dubai Criminal Court postponed hearing a murder case - in which a husband was killed by his wife and his friend (her lover), in order to ensure the continuation of their romantic relationship - until February 27.

Yesterday, the Dubai Public Prosecution said, before the judicial authority in the court, that the victim was run over, and his body was thrown in the Al Qusais Industrial Area, and set on fire after handcuffing the hands and legs, before an Asian worker noticed that there was something burning near his workplace, so he approached him and examined him. It turns out that the source of the fire is a burning corpse.

The prosecution stated that the two accused (wife and friend) had an illicit relationship that lasted two years.

As a result of the recurring disputes between the husband and his wife, who have two children, the wife decided to get rid of the victim, so she agreed with her partner to kill him, and together they put together a plan to carry out the crime, which is summed up in creating a problem with the husband. The first defendant recounted the details of his perpetration of the crime, jointly with the second defendant, before the prosecution, saying that "the victim's wife called him a day before the incident, and informed him that she had created a problem with her husband, based on the plan they had set."

He added: "I called (the victim) and asked him to wait for me in front of his residence, because I want to see him, and when he arrived, we sat in my vehicle, and he informed me of his disagreement with his wife, so I suggested to him that I reconcile between them, and I asked him to allow me to tie his hands and feet, because this is the best way. In front of him to express his apology to her, until she is satisfied with him, as she is the mother of his children, so he agreed to that.”

He continued: «I tied him while he was in my vehicle, then took him to the folding area, and there I got off the vehicle, pulled him and threw him to the ground, then I carried a stone and hit his head, and I pulled him again and put him in the vehicle, then I went to his residence, and when I arrived I left him in the vehicle and went to His wife, and I told her what she had done, and I told her that he was in the vehicle, and that he was still alive, so we agreed to get rid of him once and for all by killing him.”

And he added: "In the evening of the same day, I went to a gas station while the husband was still in my car, alive, then I bought a can of petrol, and headed to Al Qusais Industrial Area II, and there I hit his head several times on the side of the vehicle's door, but it became clear to me that he was still alive, I threw him on the ground and ran over him with my vehicle several times.

When I confirmed his death, I took the fuel canister and poured it on him, then set it on fire, and left.

On my way back, I called his wife and told her that I had killed her husband.”

A company worker in the Al Qusais area said that he had noticed that there was something burning on the day of the incident.

And when he approached him, he was surprised that it was a human body, so he called the police immediately.”
