The man, a 77-year-old well-known hockey profile in Nybro, had seen Nybro Vikings win 6-1 against Vimmerby at home.

On the way home, he jumped on the bike and parted from his friends.

But just a couple of hundred meters from the arena, he was hit by a car that drove up the bike path, continued into a forest area and collided with a smaller building.

Located in respirator

Three days later, the 77-year-old is asleep at IVA with a respirator in Linköping.

Clavicles and ribs are broken, and he has suffered several hemorrhages in the brain.

- On Saturday, the family was happy, then he had moved his arms and legs.

But it did not become so much more.

He is too bad for them to relax the respirator, the daughter tells SVT.

Been hit before

Now the family is waiting for positive news from the hospital, but the situation is still uncertain, albeit a little more stable than last Friday.

The daughter says that this is the second time that her father has been hit in connection with a hockey match.

- Last time he got a sore back, it went well.

But he was so upset.

What if he wakes up now, he will be so angry, says the daughter.

The police have started a preliminary investigation into causing bodily injury and aggravated drunk driving.

There must be several people who have seen the event.

- There are a number of people in the investigation.

We will try to clarify the course of events, says Robert Loeffel, the police's press spokesperson.
