"Detroit International Bridge is pleased to announce that the Abmassador Bridge is now fully open to allow free trade between the US and Canadian economies," company spokeswoman Esther Jenzen said in a statement.

It is noted that the bridge was blocked for about a week.

Earlier, Canadian police arrived to enforce a court decision to block protesters from blocking the Ambassador Bridge across the Detroit River on the US-Canada border.

On February 11, amid ongoing protests against anti-coronavirus restrictions in Ontario, Canadian provincial premier Doug Ford declared a state of emergency in the region.
