In the West, the Timberwolves remain 7th.
Trailing 55-45 at halftime, the Celtics outscored Atlanta 42-23 in the third quarter to pull away.
"We just played with a little more rhythm," said Jayson Tatum, author of 38 points and 10 rebounds.
"We started attacking more."
"We hope to be able to continue this momentum, we are trying," he continued about the current good form of his team.
Still for Boston, Jaylen Brown went there with his 17 points, Robert Williams with his 10 points and 14 rebounds and Derrick White with his 14 points.
