The statement of the delegation at the OSCE meeting in Vienna says that the ongoing maneuvers are one of the main elements of the training of the troops of any sovereign state.
Diplomats noted that a large number of exercises are being held in the OSCE area, in particular, near the borders of Belarus.
“Intentional distortion of the situation around certain military exercises and hostile, provocative and inflammatory rhetoric will only increase mistrust and tension and may lead to an escalation of political and military tensions.
In this regard, we once again urge our colleagues to refrain from escalating the situation around the Belarusian-Russian exercises,” the diplomats said.
OSCE Chairmanship Poland said on February 13 that the Baltic states had requested a meeting with Belarus and other countries due to "unusual military activity."
The Belarusian embassy in Vienna confirmed that Minsk would participate at the expert level in the OSCE meeting requested by the Baltic States.
In addition, it became known earlier that the military attache of Ukraine will visit the Russian-Belarusian exercises "Allied Resolve - 2022" in the republic.
