“There will be an exchange of views on the activities of the OSCE SMM, which is designed to impartially monitor the situation in Donbass and support the observance of human rights and national minorities throughout the country.

We are expecting thematic reports from the SMM on casualties and destruction of civilian infrastructure over the entire period of the conflict, as well as on manifestations of aggressive nationalism, neo-Nazism and xenophobia,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The agency noted that the impartial work of the SMM is especially in demand "against the background of the ongoing rampant aggressive nationalism, forced Ukrainization and violation of the rights of Russian-speaking citizens" in Ukraine.

When discussing the situation in Ukraine, the emphasis will be placed on the need for a direct dialogue between Kiev, Donetsk and Lugansk.

Earlier, Reuters, citing eyewitnesses, reported that the American representatives of the OSCE SMM in Donbass began to leave Donetsk in cars.

The representative office of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire stated that even if representatives of other countries leave the Donetsk SMM office, the work of the mission will not stop.

OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid assured that the mission will continue to fulfill its mandate in Ukraine without interruption.

In turn, the Russian Foreign Ministry urged not to involve the OSCE SMM in the “militarist psychosis” pumped by the United States.
