Saudi media reported that directives were issued to pay an additional two months’ salaries to Yemeni soldiers in the strategic Haradh district of Hajjah Governorate (northwest of Yemen), where violent battles are taking place against the Houthi group.

The media added that this reward comes "in appreciation of what the heroes of the Happy Yemen Brigades provide."

The Saudi-led coalition announced last Friday that it had carried out 16 air strikes against Houthi sites in Yemen during the past 24 hours.

While the Yemeni army confirmed the liberation of 80% of the strategic city of Haradh from the grip of the Houthis.

The coalition said - in a brief military statement reported by the Saudi News Channel - that air military operations were carried out targeting Houthi militia sites and gatherings in the governorates of Hajjah and Saada.

He pointed out that the targeting operations resulted in the destruction of 13 Houthi military vehicles, in addition to heavy human losses sustained by the Houthi militia.

Haradh is one of the important Yemeni cities;

It includes a vital land port linked to Saudi Arabia, and it is one of the most important ports in Yemen.

On the ground, the coalition also announced the destruction of a communications system in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, which it said was used to operate communications stations to control marches.

And the Saudi Press Agency reported - late yesterday, Sunday - that the coalition asked civilians present in the headquarters and ministries of the state in Sana'a to evacuate them immediately.

Last Thursday, the coalition said that 12 people were wounded at the Saudi Abha airport by shrapnel caused by the destruction of a drone loaded with explosives by air defenses.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree announced that the group bombed a military target at Abha airport with a Qasef 2 drone.

Civilian killed

And the Yemeni army announced - at dawn today, Monday - the killing of two civilians by a missile strike by the Houthi group on a house in the isolation of Bani Fadel in the Hiran District of Hajjah Governorate.

The official news agency in Yemen also reported on Sunday evening that the Houthi group bombed a camp for the displaced in Taiz Governorate (south of the country);

As a result, 3 children and a woman were injured.

The Houthis did not comment on this accusation, but they denied targeting civilians more than once during the nearly seven-year-old war against pro-government forces.

Since March 2015, the Saudi-Emirati coalition has supported the pro-government forces, in the face of the Iranian-backed Houthis, who have controlled governorates, including the capital, Sanaa (north), since September 2014.

The war claimed - until the end of 2021 - the lives of 377,000 people, and the economy of Yemen incurred losses estimated at 126 billion dollars, and most of the population - numbering about 30 million people - has become dependent on aid, in one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world, according to the United Nations.
