The statement added that the accused was referred to the Criminal Court, and an instrument was issued against him to prove what was attributed to him and sentenced him to death as retribution, and was supported by the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, and a royal order was issued to enforce what was decided legally and supported by his reference against the aforementioned offender.

The statement continued: "The death sentence was carried out as retribution for the offender, Hassan Shahat, today, Monday, 7/13, 1443 AH, in the Jeddah Governorate, in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region."

The ministry affirmed that it is announcing this to assure everyone the keenness of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to establish security, achieve justice, and implement the provisions of God in everyone who transgresses against the safe and sheds their blood, and at the same time warns everyone who is tempted to do such a thing, that the legitimate punishment will be his fate.
