“To hold consultations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on the draft appeal of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation “To the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin on the need to recognize the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Lugansk People’s Republic” and discuss the said draft appeal,” the document says .

The resolution and draft appeal will be sent to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Earlier, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that the Council of the State Duma on February 14 will discuss whether to consider at a meeting of the chamber a draft appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin on recognizing the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics or send the document to the Foreign Ministry for feedback.

Deputies of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation submitted a draft resolution to the State Duma, which proposes to officially appeal to the President of Russia with a request to recognize the independence of the LNR and the DNR.
