On the evening of February 11, the 2022 Taipei Lantern Festival will debut.

In the Friendship Exchange Light Zone, the "Little Tiger Castle" from Shanghai has become a highlight.

In the friendly exchange lantern area of the Taipei Lantern Festival, there are lanterns from other cities outside Taiwan such as Shanghai and Hakodate on display.

In a telephone interview with a reporter from China News Agency, Yao Jingyi, director of the Taipei partner of the Shanghai Lantern Group and director of Dongsen TV, said that Shanghai has participated in the Taipei Lantern Festival for the 7th year, and every exhibition has become the highlight of the entire Lantern Festival.

This year, due to the epidemic, the Shanghai team was unable to come to Taiwan, and the lanterns were shipped to Taiwan for assembly by the Taipei team.

During the period, the two sides continuously communicated the assembly situation through video connection.

Yao Jingyi said that every year, the lanterns from Shanghai are very professional, beautiful and large, and many people like them very much.

This year, the characteristics of Shanghai lanterns are "childlike". After communicating with the teams on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, they decided to launch a set of lanterns that children and adults can walk in and interact with, thus this year's group of "little tiger castles".

It is reported that the Taipei Lantern Festival will last until February 20.

In addition, the Taiwan Lantern Festival held in Kaohsiung this year, the Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival in New Taipei City, and the Yunlin Beigang Lantern Festival have all opened or will open this month.
