The Commissioner-General of the Sudan Pavilion, Nabawiya Mohamed Mahjoub, described "Expo 2020 Dubai" as a golden opportunity to open up to global markets, noting that the UAE represents Sudan's first trading partner.

She explained: “Sudan is trying, through its pavilion at the World Expo, to open up to global markets.

Our participation in (Expo Dubai) is an opportunity to attract investors, open the doors to investment in Sudan, and reintegrate into the global economy again. Sudan’s pavilion is a practical opportunity for companies wishing to enter the market in our country.”

On the main idea of ​​the pavilion, Nabawiya Mahjoub said: “The main focus is to display the potential of our country through our slogan (Sudan is a country of endless opportunities), and we have many promising sectors and promising opportunities, especially in the sectors of agriculture, irrigation, livestock, mining, and tourism, which is a promising sector. By virtue of the environmental diversity in Sudan, from archaeological and historical tourism, diving, fishing and safari from the desert to the forests.”

She added: “God has given us many blessings;

We have the Nile, branch rivers, groundwater, and all the ingredients of agriculture, we own many forests, and we have the gum arabic belt, and our production of it represents 80% of the global reserve, which is used in the production of pharmaceutical, food and cosmetic industries. We also have the Dinder National Reserve, which is the largest reserve It is located on the border between Sudan and Ethiopia, and extends over a distance of two states.

On the distinguished relations between the UAE and Sudan, the Commissioner-General of the pavilion pointed out that relations between the two countries are flourishing, and the UAE is the first Arab trading partner with Sudan, followed by Saudi Arabia. Most of the Sudanese trade takes place through Jebel Ali and Dubai Ports World, and the UAE has large investments in The agricultural sector, and Sudan aspires to increase it with the UAE and the countries of the world participating in the "Expo Dubai" in all vital sectors.

She added, "At (Expo Dubai), we present projects that are compatible with sustainability through clean energy projects that highlight the concern for our natural wealth, which is in line with the vision of Expo 2020, and we also have human resources that excel in innovation issues, as our youth innovate projects based on hydrogen gas, Which depends on extracting energy from water in daily use, which leads to the provision of clean and cheap energy.”

Director of the Sudan Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, Mohamed Adam Abu Al-Bishr, said, “The main objective of the pavilion is to present investment opportunities for Sudan, which was clearly demonstrated through the design of the pavilion, as we have promising opportunities in all sectors and are preparing plans, programs and projects to open up opportunities horizons. We await the opinion of the Sudanese decision-makers.

The new laws also help provide a package of incentives and remove any obstacles that hinder investment inside Sudan.

He explained that the Red Sea State is Sudan's maritime gateway, full of promising opportunities, adding: "We need to introduce it to investors so that it is the main gateway to the world."
