One third of the leisure centers and leisure clubs in the municipality are run by ABF, which has had leisure activities for almost 30 years.

- It is very serious that we are now forced to close the business, says Dag Ahlse (C) who is vice chairman of the culture and leisure committee.

- There should be more control of the operations.

This should not happen, says Stina Lundgren (M) who is the opposition councilor in Botkyrka.

ABF: "We have not had a chance to respond to the accusations"

Botkyrka municipality temporarily takes over the operation of the four leisure clubs and three leisure centers run by ABF Botkyrka / Salem.

In the first instance, the municipality will staff the leisure clubs for 10-13-year-olds as the municipality has special care responsibility for that age group.

- We have received far too bad information from the municipality so I can not respond to the accusations, says Christina Zedell, who is chairman of ABF in Botkyrka / Salem.

There are a total of 250 children affected by the closure of leisure centers and leisure clubs, according to ABF.

The parents of the children will be informed by the municipality at meetings tomorrow, Monday.
