Foreign lessors require Ukrainian air carriers to return aircraft to the EU

“On February 12, 2022, the world's largest insurance companies informed Ukrainian air carriers that they would stop insuring aircraft for flights in Ukrainian airspace within 48 hours.

This decision is associated with increased risks of the outbreak of hostilities.

Accordingly, the owners of the aircraft - the lessors - demand the speedy return of the aircraft to the EU," the press service said.

Earlier, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from the European Solidarity faction Oleksiy Goncharenko announced a possible suspension of air traffic over Ukraine from February 14.
