The freedom convoy joined the streets of Paris this Sunday, welcomed by the police.

Opponents of the vaccine pass parked on the Champs-Elysées, after having traveled hundreds of kilometers from the four corners of France.

But the procession was quickly dispersed during the intervention of the CRS.

A concert of horns, tricolor flags waved fervently in front of the Arc de Triomphe.

The arrival on the Champs Elysées at midday had a taste of victory for these dozens of participants in the freedom convoy.

And this, despite the line of gendarmerie trucks and the CRS on the lookout who crisscross the area.

Demonstrators gathered to demand a cancellation, health restrictions, the end of the vaccine pass.

Among them, Karine: she has traveled more than 700 kilometers from the Gard.

"I have just crossed France there, since Thursday", she told the microphone of Europe 1. "And there, in front of the people who stand there for freedom, quite simply want to be free."

Another participant in the freedom convoy confided: "Even if we assimilate this movement, we assimilate it to the Yellow Vests of two years ago. Today, it is the freedom convoy. When we see that 'there are people from Marseille, Montpellier who came here to Paris, it's not for nothing."

The procession was gradually dispersed, not without some tension between the CRS charges and the use of tear gas canisters to try to push back the demonstrators along the Champs-Elysées.

After this first day of demonstration in the capital, all called to continue the mobilization this Sunday.
