The police announced this on their Twitter page.
“By 17:30 (19:30 Moscow time), law enforcement agencies made 44 arrests,” the statement says.
Protests are taking place in Paris against measures introduced by the government to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
The demonstrators oppose, among other things, sanitary passes.
