According to its officials, the National Coordination for a Successful Transition (CNRT) will gauge the concerns of the population as well as the commitments that will be made by those who will be responsible for leading the transition.

Their mission: to denounce any breaches.

“

We are waiting for this roadmap and the charter so that we can assess whether it actually meets our needs

: first of all security, peace, the question of pollution, the political question.

It must also be said that this coordination will have the role of alerting and denouncing in the event that there are excesses in the case of the question of the transition

”, specifies Pascal Zaïda, spokesperson for this national coordination for a successful transition.

The reconquest of localities occupied by armed groups and the return of displaced populations are priorities for the ruling junta.

According to Pascal Zaïda, Lieutenant-Colonel Paul Henri Damiba already has a strategy.

“

You should know that 95% of those who attack us are Burkinabè and that they are therefore not going to declare war on Burkinabè.

On the other hand, they will find other ways to achieve this.

If we undertake negotiations there to try to possibly resolve the problem, we believe that within a reasonable time, this could be a possible solution for Burkina Faso

 ,” he said.

This coordination for a successful transition calls on the international community to support Burkina Faso during this difficult period.

The establishment of this coalition takes place while a technical commission is working on a draft charter which will define the contours of the transition.

Installed since February 8, she has 15 days to submit her report.
