Two women were rescued after an accident on Wednesday in Courchevel (Savoie).

Originally from Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, they were taking part in a snowmobile ride with other foreign tourists when they fell into the void, reports Le Dauphiné Libéré.

The two victims airlifted

The driver would have lost control of the machine before rushing towards the protective nets.

These were torn off and the snowmobile plunged into a ravine.

The two victims, slightly injured, were airlifted by men from the Courchevel High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (PGHM).

The vehicle was recovered by a snow groomer.

This accident occurred on a track specially provided for snowmobile excursions, after the ski resort closed.

The outing was supervised by professional guides.
